My little boy’s room was empty, his bed neatly made. Alarm bells should have rung immediately. Then the knock on the door came. All I remember is a thick fog wrapping itself tightly around me. This couldn’t be happening to us.

Three years ago, nurse Zoe's son Ethan was found drowned in a muddy river by their home, along with his best friend, Josh. With no witnesses, their deaths were ruled a tragic accident.

Heartbroken, Zoe and her family move away from her home. They’re just beginning to get back to some kind of normality when, out of the blue, Zoe receives an anonymous email: "You need to find out the truth about what happened to your son. Don’t let this rest. Don’t believe the lie."

Shaken, Zoe starts an obsessive hunt for the truth. But why is her husband so reluctant to help? And why is Josh’s mother so determined not to believe her?

The story is weak and not challenging. I’m wondering why Jake and Liam and Adrian all have British lower class accents. Surely not all of the men are “cockney”!
Very very bad.

Not as advertised

Very good book. Slow to start but couldn't stop about half way through. Unseen ending

I LOVE the twists in this book. As soon as I thought I had it all figured out, who did what, another twist came and made me doubt myself. This is an exciting book and well worth the read/listen.

So many twists!

This book was so so. It did keep me interested though there were times when it dragged and the narrator sounded like she was reading. The story was okay. So I gave it 3 stars because over all it was just ok.

Not Terrible but not great.

Very clever story and I didn't see most of it coming. At points some things fell a bit too neatly into place, but overall this was a solid listen.

Worth the listen

Story is ok but if played at set speed it drags. Go wth 1.2x to make it sound better

Lots of turns and twists til keep you guessing. I wasnt crazy about the very ending with all the followup which could have been skipped and left to imagination but would definately reccomend this book.

Great story. Captivating. Kept me intrigued.

A nightmare for any mother or father to face... losing a child is not supposed to happen. This story grabbed hold of me and kept me guessing through the end. It held my attention which is why I enjoyed it so much. An excellent job all around. Highly recommend. 😀😀😀

Kept me guessing until the end

"The Warning" is a gripping thriller that deserves a solid four-star rating. This book offers an engaging and suspenseful story with a premise that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

The narrative revolves around a mysterious warning that sets the protagonist on a dangerous path to uncover the truth. The author skillfully builds tension and intrigue, creating a narrative that keeps you eager to uncover the secrets hidden within the story.

One of the strengths of "The Warning" is its ability to maintain a sense of suspense and mystery throughout the narrative. The pacing is generally well-handled, with each chapter unveiling new layers of the plot and deepening the intrigue.

However, I'm rating it four stars because, while it is a gripping read, there were moments when the plot felt somewhat formulaic, and some character motivations could have been further developed to enhance the story's depth.

In conclusion, "The Warning" is a solid thriller that delivers on its promise of suspense and mystery. It's a suitable choice for readers who enjoy fast-paced narratives with a focus on conspiracy and intrigue. While it may not be a perfect five-star thriller, it certainly offers an entertaining and thrilling reading experience.
