Good story, poor performance.

I felt this was a good story - not the hottest I've read, but not the worst either. But the performance was really bad. I had to work at it to listen all the way to the end. She stumbled over simple words, and made mistakes like: Trees were rolling down her cheeks - instead of Tears were rolling. The reader seemed to place emphasis on every other word, which was real distracting, and un-necessary. If someone else read this book, I would give it a higher rating.
