Publisher's Summary

The Unpublishable Memoirs is not a personal memoir, but a collection of mystery stories by Abraham Simon Wolf Rosenbach (1876-1952) a famous American collector and seller of rare books and manuscripts. At Sotheby's in London, Rosenbach was known as "The Terror of the Auction Room" and in Paris, he was called “The Napoleon of Books”. The protagonist of these “memoirs" is Robert Hooker, a sly and unscrupulous bibliophile who cons the wealthy out of their rare books and manuscripts. The plots of the stories involve cleverly constructed forgeries, fake customs officials, and many other fascinating twists and turns.

Amazing Collection

I truly enjoyed the book. The performance is good, but some of the names are mispronounced. It's one of my favorite books! Any true bibliophile would find friends, and probably a mirror, within this production. Enjoy!
