Fate isn't done with August and Emery.
With the birth of their daughter, a new era is ushered in for the supernatural world, but not everyone is prepared to accept the terms. Archaic beliefs threaten to derail everything they've fought to protect.
War looms on all sides as Sloane's army grows in ways they never could have imagined. In order to take on her sister, Emery must learn to embrace the darkness she's come to fear, even if the price could be her soul.
With their enemies closing in and the fates demanding action, August and Emery must choose between the bond they share and the kingdom they've sworn to protect.
War waits for no one.

What happened? So boring. On cheaper 10 and wondering why am I still listening?

If the witches are cursed with hyper-sexuality, who are they having sex with? supposedly they created vampires to mate with and having children but then a curse was placed upon them. Vampires of royal decent can only have male children, all other vampires (ones who are turned) are infertile. So how is it that Witches haven't been killed off? They can't have children. Yes, they are immortal but they can still be killed and they have been at war with vampires for centuries.
Either I missed a lot of information or this book series just doesn't add up.

Maybe it’s the sheer volume of characters, many with random powers that don’t seem well thought out. There’s so many stories and so many characters it is hard to truly connect to anything.
Or maybe it’s the excessive inner dialogue in the middle of high action scenes and inexplicably stupid and predictably dumb actions of the lead characters that almost makes me think they deserve what they’re getting.
But something keeps me listening…
Something is missing…
