Amazing book & great author!

I started reading this book to help prepare me for a Sales Management role that I was interviewing for. It was the first book I couldn’t stop listening to. It was engaging and so relatable that I immediately started thinking about situation in my life or how I would do things in the future that were discussed in the book.

The ending of the audio book was even better. John interviewed a SVP of Indeed.com about how they use his book in their company. I have never seen that in any other business book I have read. Actual hands on experience with Johns book in a major corporation that I have heard of and respect. Definitely gave this book more clout!

There’s even a point in the book where John says to email him for a sheet he uses… I did and was shocked to receive the response so quickly. So decided I reach out to John on LinkedIn to let him know how much I enjoyed his book. I did not expect to get a response… I received a response from him shortly after. I told him I was interviewing for a CSO position and his book was helping me greatly to prepare. John immediately started talking to me about the position, interview process, company and coaching me on my next interview.

I highly recommend this book to anyone taking that next step up in Management or even getting starting as a manager. And if you get a chance, reach out to John directly. He’s a great guy that I hope to have coaching me for many years to come.
