But there’s nothing pleasant about the place. In broad daylight Reacher spots a hapless soul walking into an ambush. “It was four against one”...so Reacher intervenes, with his own trademark brand of conflict resolution. what the hell happened ?
once upon a time Matthew Reilly wrote a credible fun adventure story . I was a huge fan. Now JWJr is involved in the most ridiculous stories ever written. His books stated off well and have become progressively so far away from the original book. If he wants to write science fiction pick another character. Unbelievably disappointing and unimaginative. You've ruined a great character Mathew Reilly

Had trouble sticking with it
Too many “fake deaths” - people you think have died, Jack reads their final goodbye emails and then they turn up not dead after all. The story is very long and convoluted and sometimes suspending belief is just impossible. Only really noticed this time that the narrator does very little in the way of character voices. I’ve heard some amazing narrators over the last few years and sadly this narrator isn’t one of them - not when it comes to character voices. I think Matthews one off books are where his strength lies.
