Publisher's summary

Emma Goldman was initially supportive of Russia’s Bolshevik revolution. This 1918 pamphlet was published in elucidation of the revolution and in justification of the Bolsheviks. Goldman reversed her opinion in the wake of the Kronstadt rebellion and denounced the Soviet Union for its violent repression of independent voices.

Short history from the time

Emma Goldman wrote on many topics and this item gives voice to a history of the Bolsheviki following the revolution. The written work of this title was in a footnote in a book I was just reading. I was surprised to find the audio release so soon after reading the footnote. Ms. Goldman's works have been mentioned in some of the history books I have read lately and find it helpful to hear what she, or other authors, wrote at the beginning of the 20th century. Jean Norman as narrator has a good voice and pace for this essay. I appreciate the efforts of MuseumAudiobooks to bring these older works and authors to the listening audience.
