When Alex learns the full scope of the mission, he can’t go through with it, even knowing failure is a certain death for Sarah. He prays she’ll understand—if she’s still alive—because there’s no way he can complete the job.

AI Voice is annoying

The use of AI voice detracts from the story. I might have liked this book a bit more if a good narrator was chosen to deliver the story.
