Publisher's Summary

Twelve magical worlds await young Hoops. And an evil wizard waits, too...

Hoops craves adventure and the chance to be a hero. But will his appetite for danger and exploration be his undoing? It’s not an adventure ‘til something goes wrong. That’s what the Traveler’s Code says.

On the way home from school, a strange red-headed teenager gives Hoops a mysterious gift - an old timepiece. When Hoops accidentally unlocks the magic of the timepiece, he’s whisked away and forced to travel through 12 different worlds. If he can survive the adventure, he’ll be inducted into The Traveler’s League, an ancient order of brave children who have all made their own journey with the timepiece.

Little does Hoops know that an evil wizard, trapped in one of the worlds, will stop at nothing to steal the timepiece and escape to the other worlds, where his power can be unleashed ,and he can carry out his revenge against the Traveler’s League.

Can Hoops evade the wizard’s snares and become a member of the Traveler’s League?

Find out now! Take the journey. Join the Traveler’s League!

Adventure Awaits!

This is a great story for both middle grade readers and older kids (or kids at heart!) to listen to when an adventure away from the toils of real life is needed. I know I, for one, was glued to my seat long after my ride home was finished, just waiting to jump into the next adventure! Journey with Hoops through the different worlds and learn along with him just what the Traveler's Code requires of him. All of the characters are very real and relatable - Hoops is *definitely* a ten-year-old boy complete with the dreams of grandeur that accompany him. Will he become the world's greatest explorer? With his trusty sidekick King Tut and his journal (when he remembers them!) along for the ride, Hoops encounters strange and wondrous things. He does have to learn, however, that actions have consequences. Things he does on these adventures will have lasting reach, and it's interesting to see him grow to understand this. Not everything is as it seems, though, and I can't wait to start the next adventure in the series!
