Publisher's Summary

A typical day at the rehabilitation center turns into a nightmare for Emma Grady when her favorite physical-therapy patient vanishes in front of her, along with several colleagues. Fear turns to chaos as Emma begins the frantic race from Brooklyn to Queens, anxious to discover if her boyfriend is safe. Subways are closed, graves are open, and countless people have inexplicably disappeared. Mayhem erupts as terror grips the residents of New York City.

Was this a terrorist attack? An alien abduction? Or has evil been unleashed? What else could make so many vanish in a moment - not just in New York but all over the globe?

With so many people missing, Emma wonders if this is the predicted end of the world and begins a desperate search to discover the answers.

This unique book takes listeners on a riveting journey from New York City to Israel, and, in the final chapters, into the Bible, where it becomes clear that God has made known “the end from the beginning.” Through Scripture, listeners come to understand that things aren’t spiraling downward but are actually looking up.

very inspirational!!

I couldn't put this book down!! And now I want to share everywhere I go, with as many people as I can!! The only area I felt the author left me a little questioning was on the issue of homosexuality....she was very passionate about abortion and other sin; but like too many Christians, seemed hesitant to call it out! All sin is sin. I don't dislike gay people in any way as a human, just disagree with the lifestyle, because of God's word in the bible! otherwise excellent learning and teaching tool!!! can't wait for rest of series!!

Eye Opener

The book makes you really think about what you would do if the end was to happen now. I learned many new things about the Bible that I had not heard before. I will be starting on my ARC of the second book and can’t wait to see what happens next.

Terrible voice

I couldn’t get past the first chapter! I wanted so much to listen to this! I guess it’s better for reading! Why why why do authors do this? They are not actors! They write!

Children left behind...

Children left behind doesn't sit well with me at all. A 9 year old? Outside of that glaring problem it's not a bad story.

Wow one to explore worth every minute!

People had stated comments about the writer narration I really found NO issues with it. The story is a good lead into what is going to take place. Worth every dollar spent! Enjoyed this one so much that i have purchased the next one in the series. At the end of this book is a great detailed explanation of end times events that we are told would take place and all i can say about the rest is COME QUICKLY LORD JESUS we are waiting and watching! Now, onto the next book woot woot! May God Bless you in ALL that you do!

Story is GREAT — narrator is LACKING

The storyline is great, but I wish I had read the book rather than listened to it. The author really should have had an experienced narrator read the book. She lacks the versatility to narrate for the various characters in the book and it is difficult to tell which character is speaking at times. She has little inflection in her voice — and the SCREAMING at times is too much.
Bottom line … great book, great story, bad audiobook.

Apropos!

Outstanding! Well done Mrs. VanLier! The story was so well written and intriguing that I listened to the whole book in one day—couldn’t put it down! And your narration was close to perfect. I will certainly purchase the next books! Keep’em comin please. God bless you and yours sister.

Very Good But

I love the book and agree with the timeline presented. I am surprised about the fact that the children were left here and not raptured. Until a child becomes mature enough to understand they are sinners, how can they’ve held accountable for sins they don’t even know about. I believe in the age of accountability and that it is different for each child’s but surely no child under 10 or 12 would be left behind. Thoughts?

Enjoyed very much

I enjoyed this book very much. Yes it’s true that churches are not talking about the coming of Jesus Christ anymore. We have forgotten that He said He would return and to be ready. He even gave us stories about His return. God forgive us for not making ready for your return by telling others. Great book! I already purchased the other one and I’m going to start reading it today.
