I work in Columbia and it was an extremely accurate description of this small town in the Deep South. Enjoyed the back story of this murder.

Great small-town murder tale

I'm from the town in which this book is referenced. My grandpa worked for James Jackson and retired from RCM. He went to his grave a few years ago still believing Jackson to be an innocent man. This book is amazing and the narrator completed the package.

Absolutely Amazing

If you have never heard an actual Southern accent or prefer one that appears to be stolen directly from a 1960s tv show, then perhaps you won’t want to throw something against a wall when you listen to this narrator. It might have developed into an interesting story, but between feeling like I had somehow tuned into an episode of the Andy Griffith Show and the syrupy sweet description of life in a Southern town full of righteous churchy, I just couldn’t put myself through it.

Awful narration, sanctimonious church-y-ness
