Encouraging and insightful

I really enjoyed this book. What stuck out to me most were the lessons of introspection contained in it. Banning points out how being able to assess where we are at internally is key to being able to advance forward in our calling with God, but not just on our one—community is vital as well. I also really enjoyed the points about being specific with our prayers as a way to grow in faith. There’s more, but overall I just really recommend this book to anyone looking to grow in their faith, maturity, and calling as a believer.

What a powerful message. Banning does an amazing job of giving guidelines to stepping into your calling by using the illustration of Jonathan and his armor bearer. He gives three principles that represent the three-mile walk. He uses a lot of examples that he has experienced within his time as a minister. I would recommend to anyone who is struggling to find their calling in God or who don’t know how to take that first step. I also bought the hard copy of this book to really dive in further.
