Story
Airport Ranger volunteer Stacy Broussard expected a peaceful Saturday morning ride around the perimeter of Houston's airport. What she encounters instead is a brutal homicide and a baffling mystery. Next to the body is an injured dog, the dead man's motorcycle, and a drone armed with a laser capable of taking down a 747. Though FBI Special Agent Alex LeBlanc sees a clear-cut case of terrorism, his past has taught him to be suspicious of everyone, even witnesses. Even bleeding-heart veterinarians like Stacy.

Truly enjoyed this one!
I really enjoyed having 2 of the characters return from the last book. This was a really complex story that intertwined with lots of different and new characters. Without being a spoiler I was glad to see Santiago Harris finally surrender and have a relationship with the lord. Caress and he finally found their way to a relationship. But the true criminal was a surprise. It was up to the last few chapters that I began to suspect who it might be.
The narration was terrific.

Narration detracts from the story
It was hard for me to enjoy this story, because the narrator sounded like she might have been reading the weather. With so little inflection in her voice, it was often hard to follow the dialogue.

Great Story
Would you consider the audio edition of The Survivor to be better than the print version?
No. Jackie Schlicher seemed to have too much of a monotone. She was reading words, not telling the story. Failed at bringing the story to life.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Kariss. Sassy.
What aspect of Jackie Schlicher’s performance would you have changed?
I would have had her put more emotion in her performance and less just reading the sentences.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The shooting scene was well written.
Any additional comments?
This is a great book. could use a better Narrator.

Narrator Ruined It
I don’t understand why they changed narrators for this second book. The new narrator does a horrible job distinguishing voices between characters. I have no idea who is talking without descriptors. Not only that, but this narrator clearly didn’t take time to research how the previous narrator said the main female character’s name. She mispronounces the name of this main female character and it is so distracting! This is an example of a narrator negatively effecting the story. It is so distracting that it is hard to focus on what is happening with the storyline. Such a shame.

Great book! Narrator not as great!
I loved the plotline of this story and it was a thrilling story with an unpredictable culprit in the end! The only dissapointing thing about listening to thos book was the narrator! While I loved the narrator in the first book, this book did not have a good narrator. Unfortunately, Kariss was pronounced VERY different in the second book compared to the first. If I wasn't super intrigued in the book because of the plot twists and suspense, this narration difference would havemade me stop listening to this book!

excellent book. bad narrator
I have listened to another book in this series, I believe it's a different narrator. however I had a very hard time with how she read. The narrator had very subtle character differences in her voice so it was hard to follow along during a switch in characters. also she pronounced the name of the main character incorrectly, or at least different from the previous book. it was aggrivating and made me loose focus every time the name was said. the book itself was excellent. loved the content and suspense very well written.
