Terrible reading. No emotion in voice or understanding of how a person would speak.

Ai voice reading was bad. But over all I didn’t enjoy this book. It lacked a stronger pull to the theme. I felt the character were well written. But many lacked direction and the story just seemed to move along as if I was on the lazy river. Didn’t feel engaged as the reader and wanted to get the book over with.

I wonder if that is due to the era I was born (90’s baby). Or if the books of today have just vastly shadowed the past.

Did not like the virtual narrator.

Having virtual narrator narrate a portrait of humanity is a disservice to the author, work, and listener.

A classic but not my favorite.

The AI reading made the book a bit harder to follow as the inflections of the tone didn’t match the character actively speaking.

Classic but terrible narration

This is one of my favorite books by Hemingway, however the adaptation is terrible. The narration is unlistenable. Extremely flat monotone voice with little too no emotion and very robotic speech tempo. Put me to sleep several times.
