Good one
I really liked the story but i wish the world was explained more than it was also that final battle vs the caster was a little predictable so when "that" happens i wasn't surprised at all and i hope there are more books since the ending was kinda abrupt

Another good Story.
I started listening to James Wisher’s series the Portal Wars Saga and I love his work. He does a great job introducing you to a world without overloading you with needless information and making it organic with the presentation. This seems to be a simple one shot story but I would love to listen to more adventures of Col and Rain.

Different but pretty good!
I don’t understand certain things like what is to happen with Rain and Cole. The end of a good book always sucks unless it was truly a worthy ending. Not sure if I can say more except don’t expect greatness from the story. Great narration though.

A bit of a disappointment
While this had good components to make an exciting story, I found the profanity off putting and the ease with which extramarital affairs were accepted to be a contradiction to the integrity of the main character.
