Decent story building, somewhat predictable

This book was written with too much convenience. Everything fit well like an easy puzzle which left me somewhat bored and unintrigued at times. Good book overall.

Inconsistent

Plot conveniences and contrivances, under developed characters, unexplained character motivations or changes in motivation, and the antagonist being nerfed inexplicably at the end actually causes major plot holes earlier.

Nothing in this book stands out as unique or innovative. Though I believe that this author could absolutely write something better in the future.
