"[A] twisty psychological thriller... Fans of domestic suspense will be satisfied."—Publishers Weekly

Editorial Review

All in the family
I believe in family. Yes, the drama can be pretty annoying, but that’s why there’s Sally Hepworth. She knows what to do when it comes to domestic drama. Her stories satisfy my curiosity about families. They’re so rich with problems, personalities, and in Sally’s world—murder. In this thriller, we become observers of two couples: Pippa and Gabe, middle class and happy in their quaint house near a cliff in a coastal Australian town; the other, Amanda and Max, wealthy and enjoying their highfalutin lifestyle, it seems. The two couples have more in common than they need to know. But I really cared about them and their issues, such as bipolar disorder. I’ve seen that up close, but that’s no reason to hurt someone else. (How about that for a clue?) Narrators Barrie Kreinik and Jessica Douglas-Henry are terrific—their performances are addictive and dare you to pull out your earbuds. —Yvonne D., Audible Editor

Family Mystery

A new fan of this author. Good narration…shocking to have a deceased character’s point of view shared for both past and present events. Confusing at first especially in reference to timelines. Criminal activity wasn’t clearly defined either. Publisher’s summary provided just enough information to grab my attention, but no revealing details. So no spoilers here. Some editing would shorten the length of book as there is some repetition. Also the brief description of sexual intimacy was not necessary. The ending answers many questions that I had during the story. Seems like the ending was written first and the earlier chapters added afterwards.

Loved this. And the twist at the end

It’s slow at some points but a definite winner in my opinion. Kept me on the edge of my seat for the most part.

WOW.

This was an excellent audiobook. I kept thinking I knew what was going on and I kept being wrong over and over again (wrong in the best possible way!)

Knowing how it ends, I may go back and listen to it again because it was just that good.

Highly recommend this book.

Her other stories are better

The narration was good. I really enjoyed the story for awhile, but then it fell apart and I felt too unbelievable. So if you don’t have something great to listen to, you won’t hate it…but you won’t fall in love either. The ending was completely ridiculous.

The Solemate

Ot was an interesting formate going from characters who were alive to ones that were dead. For me it confused me sometimes and it made me stop to think of the writer was talking about now or before and if the person who was speaking was alive.

Family Dynamics

This is a who done it that kept me guessing to the end. More interesting is the family dynamics and the depiction of one characters manic moods.

Peaks and valleys

This book kept my attention the whole time until it got a little jumbled for me and I had to reread one chapter a few times. I liked the twist, but I could have used more than a chapter to explain it. The realization of what I found out was exciting, though. I LOVED how Pippa’s character evolved. That made me so happy for her.
