In doing so, Magda begins to understand that there are even more in the world who are chasing these magical items, and that her own family’s legacy is tied up in keeping all these secrets under wraps.

Nice to read something new that doesn’t seem to repeat a common theme

I like the ending. I didn’t expect it until the end. Fun easy read light hearted.

I liked this novel. And very much enjoyed the relationship shared by the society. Their purpose to protect people from mistreatment of magical objects.

Another great novel

This novel was a great read and just as good as his other book, The Book of Doors! I have loved both of his interwoven masterpieces!

Magic in the Ordinary World!

Enchanting writing just as in The Book of Doors. Don’t worry about Magda, she has tricks up her sleeves!

Unbelievably Amazing!!

It’s haunting, thought-provoking, and beautifully written, that rare kind of story that feels quiet on the surface but leaves your mind absolutely buzzing when it ends. Gareth Brown has this gift for mixing mystery, philosophy, and emotion in a way that sneaks up on you.

If you loved The Book of Doors, this one carries that same beautiful eeriness and sense of wonder, but it hits even deeper. Definitely one of those “sit in silence after the credits roll” kind of listens.
