Beneath the villagers’ good manners and polite smiles, he discovers deep-seated resentments and family feuds spanning decades, but little interest in what happened to the girl. With only two initials engraved on the girl’s jewellery as a clue, he fears her death will remain a mystery.
But the possibility of a chance encounter at a race meeting and a baffling car accident leads Hatherall to believe there may be a local connection. He relentlessly chips away, pushing buttons until it becomes clear that the girl may not have been local, but the killer was. And they’re prepared to kill again to hide their identity.

The story was ok.

I very much disliked the computer generated voice - pronouncing words incorrectly, pausing at the wrong times and the expressionless voice.
