I needed to read a story of love and the power of holding on and struggle . So glad that I found one

Classic Sandra Brown AKA Laura Jordan ‘82

I love all of Sandra Browns books and this book was narrated by my new fave Ms LaVoy, see her in Mary Higgins Clark, I’ve Got My Eyes On You. Her narrations of mystery writer Marcia Clark is spot on. Ms LaVoy has a full range and her male voice is great. She can interpret an author’s work very well as she did in this one. I purchased as I got author and narrator for the price of a credit. It doesn’t get better than that! Note: I do use 1.25x speed to match the author’s intent.
This story is from 1982 and written of those times eg women’s liberation movement. Since Ms Brown started her writing career as a core romance writer, this story is a classic representation of her earlier work, hence some of the other reviewers comments.

It's just an OKAY read.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Story was too plain. Too may good people. But I guess that's what the author are trying to make us see.

A sci fi.

What aspect of January LaVoy’s performance would you have changed?

I just don't like it when she's trying to sound like a guy.

Not necessarily.

Good.

I liked the story, narration good. I don't usually mind steamy books but felt there was a little too much sex.

The voice was not good for this book.

This was the worst Sandra Brown book I’ve read. It’s filled with a lot of unneeded details that draw it out. I would not recommend it to anyone.
