Fantastic

Loved the story line and love the narrator. Enough said!! Hope this writer comes out with a even better one, although it’s probably hard but I will be watching.

I loved this story so much.

One of the things that I absolutely adored about the story is that the romance was a primary part of the plot, but there was so much story aside from that! The romance remained an integral part of the story, so my lesbian heart was quite happy with it, but then my writers heart was also overjoyed at reading so much in-depth plot and development.

I only have two complaints, and they are relatively small. The first would be that the narrator, while clear and precise the entirety of the story, had little variance in her cadence and her voices for each character were the same. The second complaint just comes from being a writer and being somewhat irritated with the overabundance of direction - "She stopped, turned to look this way, then turned, looking another way, her eyes gleaming. She moved her hand, then another hand." That sort of thing.

However, I was obsessed enough with the story that it didn't bother me too terribly much, and might not even be noticed by someone who isn't also a writer.

If you enjoy science fiction, WLW romance plots, and class struggle, this is the book for you! I haven't yet checked to see if this author has more, but I will certainly be looking into it.

Brilliant!!

This is hands down one of the best audiobooks I have ever listened to. fantastic story! it really captured my attention, and gave a glimpse of what actually could be our future. There could also be a book 2. I hope for a book 2! Well done! Narration is a bit monotone.

Great Read

I absolutely loved this book. I believe the characters as well as their world was well developed and I felt as though I could picture everything perfectly in my mind. Kyra Anderson did a fantastic job with this story and I can’t wait to discover more books by this author.

invest in a thesaurus!!

This book has potential, unfortunately the writer could not see.

I loved the class storyline in a syfy setting, through in some lesbian love story and it could be entertaining. however the author/narrator has 0 voice inflection and way too monotone. the only time she breathes life into a character is when they are cursing...

It is also hard to past all the "so and so chuckled and so and so murmured " she uses it WAYYYYY to often. almost every time someone expresses sarcasm they chuckled. Whenever they they are melancholy or talking under their breath, she has them murmer..it's distracting and annoying.

I'm still suffering through this story because I really want to like it. but I had to get this off my chest

Couldn't put it down!

I walked into this book, not really knowing what to expect from something at 22 hours long. I was worried it would drag it's feet.

But that's not the case at all. Every Chapter had me wanting to hear the next one and while some of the characters felt a bit similar to me, the distinct ones were memorable and kept me invested.

Overall my only two complaints really lie with the narration and the plot. The narratation was kind of boring at times. I sometimes got confused at who was speaking and found myself disappointed that no one's voice felt unique.

On the flip side, without spoiling too much, I felt a certain part of a characters past was forgotten towards the end of the story and I was also a bit disappointed not to have more closure or investment.

Regardless, I'd still highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys sci-fi, some lgbt themes, kick ass main characters, dark pasts, and swearing. You really can't go wrong.
