Charles and Mary Bivens have been married for more than 20 years, but after one miscarriage and two children, they are starting to question their union. Their eldest child is out of the house, their youngest is entering his senior year in high school, and the onset of the empty nest is starting to sink in for the both of them.

Mahogany has history with both Charles and Mary. It was a fleeting and fast relationship with each of them individually, but they had put that behind them. Now that she has reentered their lives, she wants to become the side chick to both of them. Will Mahogany's presence enhance or destroy this union?

Ummm

I wish that I would’ve like it. I just thought that it was kind of all over the place. The narrator did a great job. But I just didn’t think that the story was all that interesting.

nice book

it's a nice book but it was a struggle for me to finish it and I think it's because of how old the characters were coming off I thought they were older than me because how they were acting especially Mary and she is only 40 come on girl and she is a good one because I would have been doing the same as he was doing. however loved the narrator hated the ending need more

Are you serious???

The narrator was great. The ending was really rushed and made no sense. It felt like there was a lot of time and effort in the beginning then the author just gave up. If the sex scenes weren’t so long, an hour or two could have been saved and made room to come to an actual conclusion. It also felt like several pieces were missing.

stupid Ending

I love the book the details it game sometimes the story could have been a little confusing, but what really messed the story up was the ending how you just going to say he wants out of her life, the ending was very crazy I was very disappointed.

Oh and as for the reader She deserves a standing ovation for giving each character personality!

I liked it and loved the narrator!

This story was good. I'm sure a lot of wives can relate. The story was refreshing not about drugs and strippers and violence and all of that crap. But it was hard for me to feel for Mary. She dealt with her husband's infidelities for too long as many do. I won't give it all away but it was a good read.
