Publisher's summary

Cynthia Kent is a burden. She's tried to help her sister and brother-in-law, but most of her efforts have ended up in disasters of varying degrees. She's depended on their charity for too long and it was high time she started taking care of herself. But how?

Tyler Shelton is a widower with two young children. As the sheriff, raising two children alone while handling his important job has pushed him to the breaking point. He's taken everything one day at a time, but his family is suffering and they need help. Tyler is used to giving help to others, but not asking for it. Struggling as a father, he makes sure his job as sheriff doesn't suffer even though his children do.

Cynthia finds joy in a job she never thought she'd ever have. She doesn't really like children, so how Sheriff Shelton's children stole her heart is a mystery. Even though a courtship is unlikely, she starts falling for the handsome and brave hero of the small Nebraska town. The sheriff is too busy keeping law and order while waiting for a notorious bank robber who is rumored to be on his way. Too much is on the line for Tyler Shelton to take his attention away from his job when life and livelihoods are on the line. Can these two people in need be an answer to prayer for each other? Will God give them the patience and strength to get past each other's flaws to find true love?

Sweet western romance

This was a quick sweet western romance. Overwhelmed father with two somewhat wild children needs a nanny. They become a family. Enjoyable to listen to.

Hearts are the same even in a different time.

We get a chance to step back in time a see what life was like in a different time and a different place. A well written story with heart tugging intensity. Not only did the kids lose their mom but Dad didn’t know how to continue on without her.
Life was so different that what ours is today. This brings it to life.
The narrator does a wonderful job and allows the story to flow without your focus being brought to her.

Sweet historical romance

I enjoyed this clean, short western romance. Annie Boone is a new-to-me author, and I’m looking forward to reading her other books. Sarah Colton did a great job with the narration.

Nanny

This was a really good Audiobook. Very well written by Annie Boone and narrated by Sarah L. Colton. This book has everything you would love to hear about. It had a young woman, a sheriff, 2 wild kids, a snooty young girl after the sheriff, falling in love, and 2 well behaved kids, a bank robbery, shoot out. Everything. I would recommend this Audio book to everyone. Buy it and enjoy. You just might love listening to books like I do. Enjoy.

Somewhat disappointing

I found the word 'children' to be overused along with 'swallowed hard.' It was distracting. The story had potential and I was eager to start listening but in no time at all, I was rather bored. I skipped to the end and would dearly love to return the book for a refund, but can't. I'm rather new to Audible and struggling to find good books. Narration is hit and miss and this one was a huge miss.
