Publisher's Summary

A shadow of degeneration, tainted ancestry and forbidden mystery hangs over the New England town of Innsmouth. The narrator of this novella by H. P. Lovecraft, a college student touring the detaining berg, discovers far more then he bargained for.

Normal citizens tend to disappear, while the indigenous residents are taking on a fish-like appearance. Strangers are definitely not welcome in this rotting town where heathen ceremonies are said to take place. And could it be that the narrator is starting to resemble his grandmother and dead uncle Douglas?

Not the Right Narrator for Lovecraft

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Get a different narrator.

What did you like best about this story?

This is my favorite Lovecraft story.

Would you be willing to try another one of Mike Vendetti’s performances?

Not a chance, after this.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

I do own multiple adaptations of this story on DVD.

Any additional comments?

This narrator would be better suited for something like...Westerns, maybe, with his voice and style.
