A whole lotta filler

Book 1 ended with the MCs escaping Underworld but losing a dangerous weapon. This book was almost entirely the two MCs on the run and getting to know each other. Only the last hour contributed to the series arc. The book ends with next to nothing accomplished except to add to the factions seeking the weapon. Frankly, you could skip this and not miss much.
