Couldn't stop listening!

This had me sucked in quick. I can't believe what she went through. Such a good listen! Highly recommend

The raw honesty and vulnerability!

I listened to this book in two days. I had visceral reactions of anger for what she was going through. Amanda is honest, is able to self reflect and make sense of it all. It was riveting.

The trauma she went through.

Nothing, except too much if the "f" word. Other than that, it was great. I'll recommend the book to others.

Hit me in the feels

There is only a handful of differences between our stories ; you have three kids , I have one . He was a sex offender, mine just tried to kill me. My kids dad should be a sex offender but somehow just keeps getting away with it. And I’m not a bad way. It made me feel SO good knowing someone went through almost the SAME thing as me. And in the beginning of the whole situation, I would say you had battered woman syndrome because that’s what I had. But I definitely shed tears in the very beginning when you talked about us not being alone. Thank you so much for sharing your story.

even though I had the concept of the story, this was well written and shared details of the personal struggles and legal struggles we don't always get to hear about or witness. as women we are conditioned to put our family first. and when we do in the face of monsters, its hard to deprpgram and look for what our new normal will be.

when you add in the spiritual aspect, the author stole my heart and now I want her to come talk at one of my schools retreats on how finding spirituality put all the pieces together.

Phenomenal book

I enjoyed every chapter of this book. Thank you for sharing your story. I think anybody can relate to this book in one way or another. The author was very candid with her life, and I heard many great takeaways. I hope the author writes many more books.

Finished listening within a day

Hello, i loved this book. If you have dealt or currently dealing with an abusive ex (and share kids) this book will be a fast read or listen. I found so many parallels with her story to my own life. Especially the ski lessons. My sons father will not allow our son to be in sports because it will take from “his” time with our son. When i share this common everyday example with normies… they are horrified and do not understand. This book made me feel understood in a level i have never felt before. Thank you for writing and publishing this book!

P.s. there are issues with chapter 9. A whole chunk is missing and a lot of repeated sentences. A lot of glitches around ch 9 and 10 for some reason.
P.s.s. There is quite a bit of foul language all throughout the book.

People struggling with separation, divorce and custody battle should definitely read this. Loved the narrator who actually is the author. Her story was amazing, helpful and inspiring. I will always remember her closing credits, we have the power to make change.
