Publisher's Summary

From the author of Rise and Shine Benedict Stone, soon to be a an original movie on Hallmark.

“Patrick blends romance, mystery, and quirkiness to highly entertaining effect.” (Booklist)

“A wonderfully hope-filled story.” (Sarah Haywood, New York Times best-selling author of The Cactus)

A single father gets an unexpected second chance at love.

It’s summer in the city and passions are soaring along with the temperature - for everyone but Mitchell Fisher, who hates all things romance. He relishes his job cutting off the padlocks that couples fasten to the famous “love story” bridge. Only his young daughter, Poppy, knows that behind his prickly veneer, Mitchell still grieves the loss of her mother.

Then one hot day, everything changes when Mitchell courageously rescues a woman who falls from the bridge into the river. He’s surprised to feel an unexpected connection to her, but she disappears before he can ask her name. Desperate to find out her identity, Mitchell is shocked to learn she’s been missing for almost a year. He teams up with her spirited sister, Liza, on a quest to find her again. However, she’s left only one clue behind - a message on the padlock she hung on the bridge.

Brimming with Phaedra Patrick’s signature charm and a sparkling cast of characters, The Secrets of Love Story Bridge follows one man’s journey to unlock his heart and discover new beginnings in the unlikeliest places.

The most boring narrator I have ever listen to.

I love Phaedra Patrick's stories, and have really been looking forward to this new one, only to have my excitement crushed by this most inappropriate narrator. He is what I am reminded of when people tell me, they fall asleep listening to audiobooks. I do not think anyone could have read this book any more tediously than he did. I was forever rewinding the story to listen again, because I dozed off or found my mind wandering looking for something anything more interesting than this man's lifeless voice. One of the things I love most about Phaedra Patrick books is her wit and prose that keep me hanging on ever word, and that is very hard to do when you are bored out of your skull. I am thinking about buying the kindle version and have the computer read it to me (there is no way that it could be any more mechanical sounding), but I am hoping Harlequin will get somebody else to read it.

Another captivating story!

It has taken me a long time to find an author whose writing so captures my imagination that I can’t put her books down.
I was so excited to learn of her fourth book and was NOT disappointed!

love Pheadra Patrick

wonderful. narrator, Matthew Lloyd Davies brings so much to Ms. Patrick's story. I always feel so light and hopeful when Ms. Patrick and Mr. Davies join together to bring that light and hope to life.

Another gem from a Phaedra Patrick

Beautiful story, wonderful characters, perfect narration. What more is there to say. Nothing at all.

Sweet Story

I love Phaedra Patrick’s sweet storytelling! She’s so good at letting the reader into the character’s thought life. This was a gentle story that kept my interest until the very end. I can’t wait to enjoy the next book! Will there be a sequel to this one? 🤞🏼

Phaedra Patrick does it, again!

I've read all of Ms. Patrick's books, and each one is a reliable palette cleanser, while still being thoughtful. She is following her tried and true formula, in this novel. A story of someone being stuck and unhappy, who has their perception upended by romantic happenstance. Colorful characters and gentle adventures abound!

I would like to see a different type of protagonist in her future works. But I'm not bored, yet!

Lovely story

Very sweet story. I thought it was going to be cheesy, but the characters were interesting and the little girl Poppy was adorable. A bit frustrating that 2 important pieces of information came at the very end, but still a light, easy read
