A very memorable book. To know how women helped during the war was incredible .

I'm always on the lookout for WW1 and WW2 books. This is another good one.

Interesting peek at brave women making history

A heartwarming, heartstopping story of a humble woman who grows into a brave spy in occupied France. Based on real life experiences, explained in the Afterword. (Pay attention to her friend Julia's story for a fun surprise).

Good story, terrible narrator

The narrator was terrible and very much got in the way of the story.

Good story though a bit too long. Too much emphasis on main character's super human talents laced with her self doubt. Still it is well written, it has excellent characterisation and historical account of the problems of the resistance and spy issues during WII. Good author worth following. Narrator a bit breathy, but tolerable.

Great book about the resistance in World War II. Kept my attention. Great performance by narrator

Fascinating story

This tale takes the reader into occupied France during WWII. Anna Cavanaugh is employed by General William Donovan founder and head of the OSS. This organization was the predecessor of the CIA. Anna volunteers to go overseas to wore as a wireless operator and spy in Paris.

I appreciate all the research that went into this novel. While a work of fiction, it was evident that many historical facts were woven deftly into the tale. For the most part, I was enthralled by the story. The one detraction for me was Anna's love life.

Nevertheless, the audio book was a pleasure to listen to and I came away wanting to know more of this period in our world's history.

Great story and narration

I really liked this one. I felt the romance was appropriate and not in your face, the historical figures were accurate and the narrator easy to listen to.

Engaging Book

This story was engaging from beginning to end, including the author's notes! If you enjoy WWII stories, don't pass this one by!
