Publisher's Summary

From number-one New York Times best-selling author Lauren Blakely comes a second-chance romance that'll make your heart feel good! Performed by Zachary Webber and Emma Wilder!

I have a big plan for my career and it most certainly doesn’t involve my ex. AKA my first love.

It definitely doesn’t entail working with him every day on a brand-new project for my jewelry line.

And it absolutely doesn’t include falling for the man all over again.

But the trouble is, he’s kind, charming, and so damn smart. Not to mention easy on the eyes. And thoughtful, too.

Also, he wants to get to know me again. To take me out for coffee, to chat on the phone, to go to museums.

It’s a dizzying, delicious courtship, but I don’t know if my heart can handle this from the man who broke it to pieces once upon a time....

Or am I willing to risk everything for a second chance at first love?

Author’s Note: The Second Chance Plan was previously titled Caught Up in Us (which is no longer available). The Second Chance Plan is a fresh new take on that second chance romance, with a reimagined plot and vastly expanded characterizations. This new version with brand-new narration contains more than 65% new material. I hope you enjoy this new edition of my first romance novel!

I love second chance romance! This book is heartwarming, sweet, sexy and funny all in one.
I read the original version of this book and have to say the re-imagined version was much smoother and was easy to get lost in. Kat & Bryan had chemistry and from the very beginning you could feel their connection even all these years later. I love the past and present scenes so you get to know them then and now also. The ending was a perfect HEA <3 Really enjoyed this one!

Narration was perfect because Zachary Webber & Emma Wilder are great at what they do!

A Second Chance at Love

I am always a fan of second chance romances that involve childhood sweethearts. Kat and Bryan's story really pulled on my heartstrings and I enjoyed the slow burn between them as they reconnected. The story played out fairly predictably, but it didn't take away from the emotions and feelings it elicited. I wasn't a huge fan of the reason for the separation, but given that Kat was just 18 at the time, the 5 year absence made sense and helped each of them grow and mature. Bryan did some nice groveling at the end too, so that softened some of the hurt ;)

The narration by Emma Wilder and Zachary Webber was wonderful. Emma Wilder really shined as Kat and I found her male and female voices very believable and distinct. Though not a true duet narration, I loved that the text messages were done with Webber reading Bryan's texts and Wilder reading Kat's. I really enjoyed this updated version of Kat and Bryan's story!

Performance 5 stars
Story 3.5-4 stars

Please Note: The Second Chance Plan is a re-imagining and expanded version of Lauren Blakely's Caught Up in Us.

At Least it's Free......

Emma Wilder has a way of speaking that is just grating. It sounds as if she feels every word she utters has to be breathy and words stretched out. I'm partial to lots of female narrators, but if the book says it's narrated by Emma Wilder and Zachary Webber....well then there should be a ZACHARY WEBBER. It was okay in the very beginning, but somewhere around the 1/4 of the book.....his narration seemed to be relegated to just text messages. There were a few exceptions but not much at all. The story was okay. Emma's narration was okay, but there just wasn't enough of Zachary to keep my interest. I think from now on, I am going to concentrate, mostly, on books solely narrated by Zachary Webber, Joe Arden, Jason Clarke and Sebastian York. When you mix them with women narrators, the men NEVER get a fair amount of the book. Sorry ladies, but I think the men should have an equal share of the narration. Just my opinion.

Hard pass....

I don’t think I am even going to finish listening. The chapters bounce back and forth from the present to small blurbs from the past. I am annoyed as the story drags on and on and on...
And nothing actually happens.

Sorry to say but I feel like I have wasted my time on this one. Narration is only three star because the story, or lack thereof, sucks.

Second chances

This reinvention of the Caught Up in Love series by Lauren Blakely has my attention! I am loving these couples, each their own trope and so much fun! Kat is in college, almost ready to graduate and has to do a semester of class with a mentor. Working on her jewelry business, this could take her to the next level, until she finds out who her mentor is. What is the chance it's her old boyfriend Bryan? She doesn't want to work with him, but if she wants the grade she will have to. Now Bryan is doing what he can to get that spark back. It's not hard, but there is something that has kept them apart and until it is resolved, their newly forming relationship may be doomed! This story is cleverly written with flashbacks, letting us live through the past and piece together the different parts of their history. Blakely does this so well, the story easily flows with one narrator giving us the past and the other the present. It's a wonderful listen, with obstacles to overcome and a second chance at first love!

Narration by Zachary Webber and Emma Wilder is guaranteed entertainment without even knowing the book, but when they perform a Lauren Blakely book, we know it's going to be phenomenal. Each with their own time and point of view, these two bring to life the past and present.

Skip It

The thought of this was a great idea, but I couldn’t connect with the two characters in this particular story. I didn’t feel their chemistry with each other, and I didn’t care if they actually ended up together. I don’t understand why I felt that way.

I love everything that Zachary Webber narrates, but even he couldn’t hold my interest in this book. I almost stopped listening to it, but I had to continue to see what happened to the couple. It didn’t have a swoon worthy ending.

⭐️⭐️ Second chance awesomeness! ⭐️⭐️

Second chance romances are my jam! Add to that Lauren Blakely’s magic romance touch and some amazing narration and I was in audio heaven!

Once again Lauren Blakely brings her romance A-game and gives us a swoony, steamy, and fun story to love and get lost in. Bryan and Kat are freaking adorable and their chemistry was everything for this story. Loved watching their romance bloom and grow.

Narration was performed by Zachary Webber and Emma Wilder and that’s literary all you need to know because these two equal amazing audios alone and more so as a team! 5 stars.

Second Chance is wonderful

I'm really glad that Lauren rewrote this story giving it a second chance. It's told in the views of what happened five years ago from Bryan and present day from Kat. The narrations from Zachary Weber and Emma Wilder make it even better.

Masterfully Remastered!

I listened to this book as the original “Caught Up In Us.” I loved it then and I think it’s even better now! Wonderfully narrated by Zachary Webber and Emma Wilder.

The Second Chance Plan

The title says it, its a second chance romance if you have ever read any of my reviews you know, you KNOW they are my favorite. I love that Lauren if revising these stories, because Kat and Bryan needed another chance to shine.

The way they come back into each others lives is nerve racking if that had been me I would have pooped my pants, Kat handled it with grace.
I liked how they don't really shy away from the past but they don't knowledge it right away either. They try and move on but when there is that much pain its kin of hard to just move on.

I think they both handled their emotions and chemistry really well and when faced with hard choices they both took the right road this time.

I just love feel good book they make listing fun and I loved the narration they were perfect for these characters.

Sweet and satisfying

Second chance romances are one of my favourite troupes, and I was so excited to listen to this one.

Childhood sweethearts Kat and Bryan's are just swoonsome together.

After splitting up and leading separate lives for years, Kat bumps into Bryan again as he is assigned to be her mentor in one of her classes.

But as Bryan broke Kat's heart years before when they dated, can he bring back the magic of what was lost between them?

Narrated by Emma Wilder and Zachary Webber, this one will have you melting into a pile of sweet sweet goo!

Lauren Blakely Does It Again

This is a tender romance..
This is a wonderfully written tale of a young love; a first love, a second chance forever love - brilliantly performed by Zachary Webber and Emma Wilder.

Wow

Loved this story of a second chance, he thought he was doing the right thing by leaving her, even though he loved her. She was confused as to how he could love her and not think they could be together. Then 5 years later they are paired up and they both realise their love is just as strong as it was then.
Narration was awesome too.
