Publisher's summary

When Sergeant George Watters is assigned to a scuttling case, he thinks he can solve it in a few days. Instead, he discovers a connection to a string of burglaries of high-value shops and hotels across Dundee.

Things take a turn for the worse when one of Watters' informants tells him that someone from the police force is involved in the burglaries. Soon, George realizes that the mystery runs deeper than he expected.

Can Watters solve the case and bring the burglars, and their accomplices, to justice?

Set in Scotland’s fourth-largest city in the 1860s, The Scuttlers is the fourth book in Malcolm Archibald’s Detective Watters Mysteries series.

A brilliant listen

This book just grabs you and holds on till the final sentence.
A fine example of historical fiction a police crime thriller set in Dundee in the 1800s.
Sergeant Waters is the detective and his team attempts to capture a skilled thief.
An engaging storyline well crafted.
With superb narration.
Looking forward to listening to more in the series.

Great historical mystery!

The Scuttlers is #4 in the Detective Watters Mystery series by Malcolm Archibald. It’s well written and action packed and fully engaging. The narration by Grant Love is outstanding. His performance brought the characters and story cone to life. I received a free audiobook code for my honest review.

A Good Police Mystery

This was a very well written story and page Turner. This is the 4th book in a series about Sgt. Watters detective. I have not read/ listen to any of there other books as of yet. Just got this one without being awear there were others. The Narrator does a very good job with the various characters' voices and the entire storyline.
The only problem with this Audible book is that there are places where the last sentence is repeated in several different places. Needs to be fixed.
