Publisher's summary

The bastard son of a nobleman, Finn Trewlove was a shameful secret raised by a stranger. As Finn came of age, he had secrets, too - the clandestine nights spent with an earl’s daughter. But her promise of forever ended in betrayal.

Driven by a past that haunts her, Lady Lavinia Kent seeks redemption in London’s underworld, engaged in a daring cause inspired by the young man to whom she gave her innocence and who then proved himself a scoundrel by abandoning her.

When their paths cross again, they can’t deny the yearning and desire that still burns. As they discover the truth behind the deceptions that tore them apart, Finn and Lavinia must fight to reclaim what they’ve lost, no matter how dangerous - because love is worth the risk....

Good continuation

I did like this story very much. I liked that the H/h didn't muck around for most of the story hating each other before the reveal that it was outside forces that kept them apart. Neither was responsible and both of them kept their promise.

Good romance and nice to see others from earlier stories. I recommend.

Kate Reading is the best narrator.

Love this series

All 3 books so far have been 5 star great!
And I loved this book as much as I loved the first 2. Often in a series you get some good some bad books but so far I loved all 3 and can’t wait for the next one!
I don’t love all the books of this author but I can’t say enough about this series.
I would recommend reading it in order as there is better connection to the supporting characters which makes the story richer.
Narrator is perfect here as well!

Oh this book! A True Love Story

Finn and Vivvy's story is so moving. This is a sweet, touching, and tragic love story that will keep your interest the entire time. I can't tell you the emotions that this book aroused in me. I was so emotionally invested in this book from the very beginning & by the second half I couldn't put it down. I cried.. felt like my heart was breaking. Oh This Book! It wrecked me!

This is a real true love story. It is so much more than a romantic love story. It's not a "romp in the hay" type book... (while there are those moments...and they're good ;o))
Love between lovers...love between brothers.....love of a mother for her children....and a child's love for a parent.

Kate Reading is as always.... PHENOMENAL. Her performance makes the gut wrenching moments in the book all the more real

READ THIS SERIES....and when you get to this book....be prepared for a compelling listen.

Okay!

I really like reading about the Truelove siblings, but unfortunately I didn't really like this one. The plot was good, but I felt like it never reached a climax.

Great series - start from the begining!

Romance, life, family, and seduction at its best. The characters are well developed, consistent, and engaging. There is some humor and some tears - excellent writing that brings you into the story and makes you care about the people. There is real life heartache mixed in, a lot of family ties, and serious seduction in the historical setting. I enjoy the books of Lesa Kleypas and now I have another favorite author and series. K. Reading is fabulous with the reading. A wonderful retreat to another time and place.

Emotional Rollercoaster! Excellent!

I thought this series was excellent but this story was outstanding! I like emotional stories but this one made me cry several times! Sad, loving, tender, complicated, tense scenes, anger, painful, unpredictable twists, but love wound all the way through.

Great story

Don’t like the accent on the reader. It’s not American nor is it English. The voices are not well done.

A little more bittersweet than I usually prefer

This book is one of the many by this author that I’ve been binging in the last couple of weeks. I like them, but they’re much more bittersweet than I generally prefer. This one has as much of a happy ending that I could think of without a Time Machine.
