Heartfelt!

Lorana Hoopes has written a nice clean story. Ted Doolittle did an ok job of narrating it.

Family is what matters

Lorana created another wonderful book. It was nice how a bad situation reunited family. Jennybean's scare might bring the Doc a new relationship. The book has a happy conclusion.

Great Read

The Scarlet Wedding: A Christian Historical Western Romance (Sage Creek Saga, Book One) was a good read by Lorana Hoopes. William wants to marry Emma, but his past comes to haunt him. He doesn’t want to leave his men in danger, and mounts and rides again. Emma wants to marry William as well but it seems as if many things are looking to delay the wedding. I loved this book and can’t wait to read more by Lorana Hoopes.

Not what you expect when you read the title

The books I have read by Lorana Hoopes are not my typical read however they have been well written with a plot that will keep your attention as it has enough detail to allow your mind to create the scenes as she moves through her description of what is transpiring. Since these books are not in my typical genre, I was ok with the shorter length even though I typically look for longer books that keep me engrossed for a longer period of time.

Sweet Historical Romance

What a whirlwind of tragedy these two face! Unlike most romance books, these two are already a couple when this book begins, but this story is all about getting them to the alter! A nice short story packed with a strong Christian theme!
I wasn’t particularly fond of the narrator’s voice for this book, but overall he did a fine job.

Great God Filled Story

Through each page the life back then is rough and dangerous but the characters that Lorana Hoopes uses to tell us the story is full of relying on God. I hope my faith and trusting God mirrors them. I loved the story and could hardly wait to be able to come to bed relax and listen to more of the story. I think this is one you could learn more about faith.

Life in the Old West

Emma and William have both endured loss and are excited for a second chance at love. Williams past and an unexpected illness threatens to derail their plans. Complete story but there were a few hints about the possibility of a follow up story.

Delightful

The Scarlet Wedding is a delightful Christian romance. The storyline has many twists that keep the reader riveted and the characters are vivid in their descriptions. It is a nicely paced HEA. The narrator has a pleasant voice and does nice job.

Finding Love

This is a story of hardship and finding true love again. After looking her first husband Emma find a second chance with William at happiness. It has drama and suppence. I was given an ARC andI highly recommend it to anyone .

Prayer, Family & Love

I love historical romance books & Lorana Hoopes did not disappoint. I really enjoyed listening to this book. A family who prays together, stays together. I discovered that this book is a continuation from Lorana’s “Lawfully Justified”. I look forward to reading that book as well.

William and Emma!

I always love to listen to Lorana Hoopes books. I know I will find a good story, a good message and will be feeling happy when I am finished. This is her first historical romance and I loved it! William and Emma's story is sweet and fun. These two are going to get married, but there seem to be obstacles being thrown in their way! William is called away to a dangerous situation which is making Emma very uneasy, and now there is another potential problem! Will this couple find their way to their happiness? Give it a listen! The characters are wonderful and we get a glimpse of what is up and coming! Narrated by Ted Doolittle, he gives us that feeling of the old west.
