Excellent

I totally enjoyed this wonderful short story. I loved how loving the family was, how they each wanted to help each other. It was nice to listen to a book where everyone put their lives in gods hands. Very inspiring, William changed his life, but was able to help everyone.

Great Read

The Scarlet Wedding: A Christian Historical Western Romance (Sage Creek Saga, Book One) was a good read by Lorana Hoopes. William wants to marry Emma, but his past comes to haunt him. He doesn’t want to leave his men in danger, and mounts and rides again. Emma wants to marry William as well but it seems as if many things are looking to delay the wedding. I loved this book and can’t wait to read more by Lorana Hoopes.

Enjoyed it!

This was a continuation to the series and I enjoyed it very much. I like how it's shows the love, concern and importance of family. The characters show and share their faith. Shows how serious illness could be during this time period, but that things are not always as they first appear.

Sweet, Clean Historical Romance

Newly engaged William and Emma are preparing for their wedding when life starts putting up obstacles. William puts his life in potential danger to save his family and Emma's sister becomes very ill. Can the two get through their trials by leaning on the families, each other and God?

This was a heartwarming story of faith, family and and community, it held a little mystery and suspense in a western setting. I am a fan of Ms. Hoopes ' modern day romances and I enjoyed this historical western. I am not usually a fan of male narrators for romance, but Ted Doolittle did an excellent job and I would definitely listen to other stories narrated by him.

I was given this audio book at my request and am voluntarily leaving this review.

Life isn't all smooth sailing

This story makes you feel like you are back in the old west, where matters of life and death are the norm (not to mention limited medical diagnosis and treatment) and while this story continues on from Lawfully Justified it could easily be a stand alone. Strong Christian values - I love how the family prays for each other and for those in need. There are many twist and turns - from dangerous bounty duty to quarantine from scarlet fever and much drama before the HEA. I received an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Family is what matters

Lorana created another wonderful book. It was nice how a bad situation reunited family. Jennybean's scare might bring the Doc a new relationship. The book has a happy conclusion.

You will love this story

I love this story. Emma and William are just meant for each other. They sure do seem to go through a lot in a short amount of time. I receive books from authors and publisher's and give freely my honest opinion of the book. This is a wonderful book. The narration is clear. I could just picture my self in the book with them.

Prayer, Family & Love

I love historical romance books & Lorana Hoopes did not disappoint. I really enjoyed listening to this book. A family who prays together, stays together. I discovered that this book is a continuation from Lorana’s “Lawfully Justified”. I look forward to reading that book as well.
