Just the right mix of violence and romance

In my opinion one of Martina's better story lines, violent but not too much so, I loved the characters even though they resemble ones from previous books.

Another great Cole book

Loved the book and the story.

Found the narrator very hard to listen to. Seemed to rush through the book and not stop for breath. Was too rushed for my liking.

Overall another great book but will listen to Annie Aldington’s narrations from here on in.

Good story...

not a massive fan of the musical interludes for each book or weird telephone distance thing but I enjoyed the story... just prefer the other narrator to the Martina Cole books, Annie Aldington.

Fantastic..

The Runaway is my favourite Martina Cole book and I had an extra credit so thought I’d try it on audiobook.
I was not disappointed. Lisa Coleman absolutely smashed it, bringing the characters and the story to life.
I’d def buy more that she narrated because she was fantastic ❤️

Classic Cole

The talented Martina Cole did it again. Yes, she uses a basic template but this story is much more. That Cathy overcomes a dreadful start in life is expected. That she is fundamentally a good person is expected. That she is loved by such diverse characters is probably expected. But the twists, turns and final denouement wasn’t expected. The story is poignant in many ways. It has very dark moments, coupled with emotional highs. This is one I shall listen to again...soon! Highly recommended.

Annoying narrative

Terrible accents and the constant use of the word hat instead of had is annoying

Loved it

This story was brilliant so many twists and turns that had me riveted with shock, sorrow, and happiness from start to finish. The narrative masterly brought the characters to life and made me wish the story didn't end.
Can't wait for the sequel to Cathy's life.

Very violent. Didn't finish reading it

Narrator ok. A bit stilted at times. But the sexual violence and physical violence did not make for enjoyable listening.
