I'm a whore for Sebastian York. I love every one of the books he narrates and this was one of the best. His delivery was amazing and he made Zach such a lovable guy that I listened to it THREE TIMES! If you need an eargasm, get this book!!!!

Review: The Rock Star's Baby Bargain

The Rock Star's Baby Bargain by Lili Valente is the fourth full-length standalone story in her Bangover world.

This is the story of Zackary Jenner Halloran and Colette Claude Blanchett. Told in dual POV, we join their story as Zack overhears Collette's ex at a bar talking smack and decides to go check on his besties bestie. He knows Theo isn't in town to be there for Colette and even though he and collette are not overly close, he worries for her. So enters Colette, a sad mess of tears and marshmallow Fuff indulgence, and despite it all - the sparks fly between them. Not insta-love but not far from it. Now that Colette is single she sees Zack with single-girl glasses and it's the same for Zack. he has always known her to be in a relationship but now that she isn't... well, she's always been beautiful and wonderful and now she is NOT in a relationship.

The back and forth between these two, their decision to go on a trip together, the retreat they go to, the backstory of the house, it all flows effortlessly together to create a beautiful love story with some moderate level-angst and some seriously juicy heat. The only thing I'm missing is the backstory of the pirate - I REALLY wanted to know about the Pirate! Well-paced and well-written, an absolute pleasure to read! Enjoy!

Audio review addition:
With Sebastian York and Lili Valente narrating it is hard to go wrong. The only thing that could have made this audiobook better would have been an audio duet. You know, where the girl reads the girl lines even in the boys chapter. Let's put that on my wishlist. Both narrators manage to embody the characters personality perfectly and made the story a wonderful thing to listen to.

The Rock Star's Baby Bargain is a standalone in the Bangover series by the talented and hilarious Lili Valente. I don't know how she does it, but Lili continues to deliver the laughs, sexiness, fun and love again and again. This is Zack's story! I feel like I've been waiting a long time to see Zack fall and it was everything I wanted it to be. Zack is sweet, kind, sexy and talented. Colette is friend of a friend, so not a stranger. They've known each other for a while, but there was never any chemistry or a strong connection until they both find themselves single and then it's game on. Colette desperately wants a baby and her clock is ticking. She never once thought Zack would be interested in helping her out, but he is. He really, really is. He needs to work on his solo album anyway, so he invites Colette to spend a few weeks with him. He can write, record and be with a sexy, lovable woman. Is it possible to fall for someone in only a few days? Yes, yes it is! I loved how Zack and Colette just knew. They knew they were meant to be together. There are a few obstacles, but they know what they have to do. I loved that it was just fun, sexy and low angst. The perfect thing I needed in my life! Overall, I love Zack and Colette and how sweet and dirty they are!

Audio: And for your aural pleasure, Lili herself narrates with the always fantastic Sebastian York. They were fantastic together. Lili's voice is perfect for Colette and Sebastian's voice always gives me tingles!

A delight to the auditory senses! 5+ stars!

The Rock Star's Baby Bargain was such a delight to listen to! Thank goodness I was listening to it at home because had I been in the car or out in public, I would have probably gotten the side-eye or curious looks for all the snickering and swooning I was doing. Penned by Lili Valente, the author narrates this audiobook as well, but this time around, she's paired up with Sebastian York, who has always been a crowd-pleaser for many of my fellow romance listeners out there. With their combined efforts, they brought Zack and Colette's story to a level of rom-com awesomeness that left me happily sated and wondering how the heck almost 6 1/2 hours had flown by so quickly. Valente clearly knows rom-com and she and York obviously know just what to do in order to take an already fantastic story up a notch or ten by breathing even more life into the characters. Five-plus stars for The Rock Star's Baby Bargain. ♥

Baby Bargain

We get another couple from Hidden Kill Bay and a band member from Lips On Fire. This is Zach and Colette's story and it is unconventional to say the least. Colette is desperate to have a baby before it's too late but luck isn't on her side. When Zach comes by and offers to help her out she realizes this is a crazy idea but why not. After a short amount of time together they both realize this friendship they have had has turned into so much more and having a baby with only complicate things for both of them. Throw in a slimy record manager, a ghost in an old home and it seems both friends and fate pushing them together and you have a great love story.

Sebastian York and Lili Valente were the perfect match for Zach and Collett. Their voices match the characters and I loved listening to them.

Love this series and loved this book.

Cute

Cute story overall. Moved extremely fast/insta love. Some really sexy scenes and some super sweet moments too, which I loved. Good narration. 4 stars all around.

Enjoyed

I enjoyed listening to this story with my hubby on our road trip yesterday. I love the sweet story. Lili is always a easy one click. I love how the story comes alive as I listen. Fun that Lili also narrates her own stories. Sebastian York is also one of my favorite narrators. It was a nice story that we could both enjoy while traveling.

Cute story

Zack and Collette know each other through their mutual friends. When Zack heard Collette's ex badmouthing her, he goes to see her to comfort her. From then on, they are inseparable. There isn't much angst and it's a feel good book. Sebastian York and Lili Valente are wonderful as Zack and Collette.

Short and sweet!

Not too many bumps on the road to get to the Happily Ever After!

Both antagonists get their well deserved comeuppance quickly without too much fuzz.

A very sweet ending, and as always, it was a pleasure listening Sebastian York! OK, OK, Lili Valente too! ;)

Recommended audiobook!

Perfection!

Perfection!
I feel like this book came along at the perfect time! I needed something lighthearted with a good solid love story but without any of the drama, cheating or angst and this book more than delivered. Zach is a great character that we have seen make an appearance in a couple of other books but it was great to really get to know him and watch him fall in love.
I would highly recommend this book if you’re looking for a rom-com love story.
