Publisher's summary

She believes in God’s power to heal—but what if her miracle never comes?

At 27, Melissa Keaster’s life with her loving husband and two-year-old son seems divinely blessed. But after their daughter is born, several episodes of anaphylaxis leave her wondering if she will even live to raise her kids. Melissa begins to have severe allergic reactions to everything—food, fragrances, even the cold. The doctors are mystified as to the cause of her illness, and she becomes a shut-in to protect herself against the world her body rejects.

As the disease steals one blessing after another, Melissa faces a choice: shake a fist at the heavens, or open her hands to everything God has for her—no matter how difficult or dangerous it may be. Along the road, she discovers a freedom she never could have anticipated and the joy to endure, whether or not the miracle comes.

Evocative and gripping, The Road to Jubilee will take you on an unforgettable journey through suffering, loss, and redemption.

Awesome Book. A Must Read.

I personally know Melissa and her family. I followed her and prayed for her on this Road to Jubilee. There were many days I was concerned she wouldn't make it. I rejoiced when she began to improve and was disheartened when she would have a set back. When she and her mother told me she was healed, you could tell they believed it without doubt. I couldn't understand how after being through so much they could have so much faith. I honestly thought she had lost her mind when she ate the peanut butter.

This book explains her journey. You will laugh and you will cry. (I cried the better part of a 2 hour road trip at one point in the book.) You will see the amazing work of Jesus. As Melissa reads the story, you get to hear her emotions. I am so glad I was able to listen to this book and encourage anyone to listen to it.

A transformative, easy to listen, novel.

Melissa allows us into the deepest recesses of her life and by doing so, we are reminded of the fragility of life and the goodness of God in any circumstance. Having Melissa read the book brought a genuine depth to the story. Her journey was full of suspense and disbelief, not knowing if the next chapter held celebration or disappointment. There are so many things to learn from this stirring account. She handles the Christian elements in thorough, yet understandable, details. Equal parts medical mystery, Christian nonfiction and suspense thriller. Wholly recommended.
