A snarkier Last Night at The Lobster

A low stacks slice of life, far away from fantasy set in a work place where everyone is against someone.

LOVED this

Kauffman is a gifted dialogue writer who also crafts wonderfully complex (read: human) characters and situations. This book is touching and hilarious and undoubtedly rings a bell (or 20) with everyone who reads it. Not since “the road to tender hearts” have I so thoroughly fallen for regular Joe characters. Bravo!

Really great for 90% of it

The characters are really great and well developed. I’m not in love with the ending, but it was still a really unique and well written book

Left unsatisfied

Story started well and kept my interest. Interesting characters but felt it ended very abruptly and didn’t feel the ‘issue’ was resolved.

Boring story.

I cannot recall who recommended it - the reason I ordered it. Was tempted to return it early and now wish I had. Predictable story.
