    In this premier solo jam, I invite you into very real aspects of my world. I talk about the collective pain and "loss of self" that mothers feel (I feel it too) and what's possible once we prioritize ourselves. I talk about why I needed to pivot my entire business from "fitness" to "freedom", why helping other moms is so important, and why I want to help women around the world. I dive in deep into the areas of restriction, dieting and exercise, because I experienced it for decades, and I talk about the choices I'm making to make to rise out of that darkness. I also explore the "soul exhaustion" that so many moms feel and why sleep alone isn't the remedy. This introduction episode is my heart on my sleeve. I invite you to listen in, take off the mask of perfection, and hear a very 'reel' side of my story.

  • episode 2: going with the flow
    Feb 21 2019

    Today's episode is all about assessing how we want to live our life and changing our stories. From moving away from my home of twenty years to a new city, introducing my boys to new schools and new friends, reestablishing home life and connecting with my husband, I felt all of the emotions. The guilt of leaving my comfort zone and community, the excitement and possibility of restarting a dream life with my family, the uncertainty of being in an unfamiliar space, and the fear of failing. It was all there. I've had to learn to go with the flow and choose what story I want to exist within, even on the days where the choice is tough to make. The beautiful thing about life is dancing in the duality of both experiences and choosing which one we want to tap into. We get to choose.

    In this episode, I talk about:

    • How my life changed when I chose to open up to the possibility of living the life I desire.
    • Asking ourselves, "What if this amazing thing happened?"
    • What to do when we feel stuck and how to move through stiffness.
    • Releasing the old stories that no longer define us and recreating our new story.

  • episode 4: how to stop emotional eating

    This topic comes up so often during my coaching sessions with women who are struggling with food and body and dieting as they're just trying to let go of all that's been guiding them for years. Even some of the women that I'm coaching who are becoming coaches, are working to identify how to move through these same blocks. On today's episode I get into the differences between physical and emotional hunger, how to eat for health, hunger, and pleasure, and trusting ourselves around food.

    In this episode, I talk about:

    • The difference between an emotional hunger cue and a physical hunger cue.
    • How to learn to trust yourself around food.
    • A common theme many of the women I coach experience with emotional eating.
    • How to identify where your struggles with food come from and how to move forward.
    • Deciding how you want to feel before, during, and after a meal.
    • Teaching our children how to develop healthy relationships to food and their bodies.

  • episode 5: coming home to your body with Laura Darcy

    When I first heard Laura Darcy speak….her truth, the connection she has to yoga, her vulnerability, my heart melted. It was at the Hungry for Happiness retreat in Squamish in January 2019, where I met her, and my openness to yoga, a different kind of yoga, was born.. I was in awe of how just the sounds of words, her connection to herself, and the way she held her hand on heart when she spoke….made me feel lighter. I knew I wanted to share this wisdom with my listeners, and with the Mamas coming to the 'reel' retreat on Vancouver Island in April.
