What has a beginning but no end?

Azure and his companions face their greatest challenge yet as they're put through Luuq's Fun House. Looking in a magic mirror, many are surprised by what they see. Separated and forced to endure personal trials of their own will be less harrowing than what happens when they're brought back together. And Azure discovers that no party ever meets the God of Death without paying the ultimate price.

Will Azure live or die? And what's Jin's true identity? Everything comes to a head in this exciting conclusion of The Realm Between.

Should've have been part of book 9, not a solo book. More sex and rape, multiple times. Sad because story had so much potential but last fee books just been bad. Jin is stuck in game too, Uden is an NPC. Nice ending though.

As always very well written and preformed. Brings Azure’s story to a satisfying ending while leaving an opening to continue if wanted. I can’t wait to see what you write next Phoenix!

Satisfying end to a great series

I liked the story. It was awesome. I hate when they repeat over and over level 1 bat 8 cps received or whatever it is. Like over and over. And the repeated stats. Ugh it’s ok here and there but omg I don’t care.

Very vivid story. Great storyline. Great narrator.

For whatever reason Phoenix has a sex obsession. He writes good characters, but for some reason the protagonist can't go 5 minutes without feeling like it has been "forever" since he last had sex. The guy gets raped by a multitude of women and still he's craving unsatiable amounts of sex. A woman plays with his feelings for a little bit and suddenly he's madly in love. Now the protag in this series is meant to be an idiot, and I like that he's has his flaws, but it's not just him getting his horn on, but this whole universe is so incredibly sex obsessed, and that's about a good two hours of this book non-stop sex. While i'm not opposed to the topic in moderation, it is not interesting. I'd rather a lot of other things over sex. In my reading and in life.

Now on the topic of sex I believe we all knew by this point that the elf is gay, but there's a twist in the epilogue which ruins that and that simply isn't appreciated.

The first 5 books were the best in my opinion, these last 5 have been getting increasingly disappointing. I was glad we were getting to the deathlands finally, because like the Elf I really wanted to just get it over with as it was one I didn't want to spend much time in. In fact the whole grand quest was something I had little interest in. Our protag and his friends adventuring was much more interesting...even though the protag's idiocy got him kicked out of the adventurers guild. Still since we were on this grand quest I'd like to have seen it to the end.

I'd comment more, but the rest I'd have to comment on would be in regards to spoilers.

All this said the performance by Neil was excellent, and the story was something I was fine listening to until the end.

A disappointing end.
