Riley’s 17th birthday should have been fun, but when a knife-wielding psycho attacks her best friend, of course Riley tries to stop him. Turns out, taking a knife through the heart isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Neither is death. Instead of pearly gates, Riley wakes up alive and ensnared in a witch’s curse with 12 paranormals known as the Outcasts—including the inhumanly beautiful, totally-hates-her-guts vampire Jasper. And shifters, faeries, witches, and other creatures that shouldn’t exist? They’re real. And Riley just might be the most powerful paranormal amongst them.

A bold new story
Instead of just another iteration of the Arthurian legend, this is a bold new spin-off of it, and definitely NOT the same old schtick, giving King Arthur a whole new story! The book starts out in 2019, but then jumps us back to King Arthur's final battle and death! Yes, that's really where this book starts... But, King Arthur has his Knights, and of course his ace-in-the-hole, Merlin! With Merlin's magic, King Arthur, and his Knights only sleep until England has need for them again! Every time the Monarchy is in jeopardy, King Arthur is there fighting! Not as a King of course, but still a leader of men, he's there unheralded, taking care of business. Jacob Sannox skips us through this action-packed bit of history, and brings us up to current times... You're gonna wanna get this one, and find out how that worked out for Arthur!
This is one of those books where the union of book and narrator is so perfect, that the end product is actually better than the sum of it's parts! Thank the gods (and Nigel Peever) for narration like that!
This Audiobook was an Absolute Blast!!!

I really enjoyed this book. It was well written, exciting action, and of course Authur!! The story puts him in different role, very fun. And what can you say besides that the narrator was brilliant. He puts so much life into his stories and takes you right along with him. So enjoyable to listen to...

SUCH a good book!
I enjoyed this audiobook SO much! The narrator was perfection. The story was fantastic. I would give it more stars if I could!
Traveling back and forth in time, we see King Arthur throughout history and watch as he and his knights fight for England. It's a fantastic take on Arthurian legend. I'm thrilled that there's more books and I will definitely be listening to them!

some good scenes but not compelling
I like the premise of King Arthur returning to save the day, but I wasn't drawn into this story. The vignettes featuring Arthur incognito changing the tides of war at various historical British battles were not compelling. Also, I found the modern day villain hard to credit. But some scenes are excellent, especially the opening battle when Mordred and Arthur fought to the death. I do recommend THE SUMMER TREE trilogy by Guy Gavriel Kay for readers interested to see Arthur Lancelot and Guenevere returning to a modern day fantastical epic battle.
Decent narration.

I loved everything about this book! The narrator was amazing, the storyline was great, the characters were well built. I am usually not a huge fan of books that bounce between different timelines but that was not the case here. The author was able to do it seamlessly and without any issues.
This is a great story about King Arthur and his knights. Even if you are not into the King Arthur stories, you will like this one!

King Arthur Returns!
This unique story starts in 2019 but really begins with the death of King Arthur in his final battle, a battle that pits father against son. King Arthur’s death is just the beginning, Merlin intercedes with his magic putting Arthur and his Knights into a deep sleep so they can awake in the future when England will need their help again. This story moves smoothly back and forth between the past and present with the excellent narration provided by Nigel Peever. You are not left with a cliffhanger ending and could end the story here but I’m sure you will want to continue on to “Agravain’s Escape” because why would you want this story to end. Resurgence of King Arthur
I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed this story. King Arthur is resurrected to be involved in some very historical moments in England. Along with Merlin and the most villainous characters from time, King Arthur rises to the occasion (no pun intended). Being a lover of all things historical, I recognized most of the scenarios where Arthur fictitiously took part. The narration was great. This is the first in the series and I look forward to the next installment.

Arthur -- through time and danger
Having enjoyed Jacob Sannox's debut novel, Dark Oak, I was looking forward to The Ravenmaster's Revenge. I wasn't disappointed. This time it's historical fantasy, with King Arthur and his remaining knights honouring their vow to return when danger threatens England. Arthur's opponent is Merlin's apprentice -- the Ravenmaster. If his Ravens leave the Tower, then England falls . . . .
It's a tightly written, fast-paced novel that moves effortlessly back and forth from great events in England's past to modern times as the Ravenmaster pursues his aims.
I'm glad that Nigel Peever is again the narrator of another Sannox book. His beautifully modulated voice captures the majesty of the once and future king, and the menace of the dangers he and his knights face. Top drawer.

A brilliant take on a classic legend
I found this book very engaging, I wanted to keep driving just so I could hear more. A unique and interesting take on a much loved legend. Perhaps a little predictable at the very last but not unenjoyable by any stretch. I look forward to more from this author.
The narrator was excellent, producing not only individual and easily distinguishable voices for separate characters, but injecting them with feeling and tone that made them seem all the more real. I'd advise keeping this fellow around, Mr. Sannox!

The Ravenmaster's Revenge
I loved listening to this book, Nigel Peever, is excellent and makes this great book, even better. He made the listening experience very enjoyable.
This book has a very interesting take on King Arthur and his knights. How Arthur and his Knghts make a vow to return to England when she is in danger. Ravens's leaving the Tower of London...
A fast paced book , moves between the past to the present with ease.
Highly recommend.

A new order was established in an attempt to return Caledun to its former glory. It failed, but in its place rose the beginnings of the Code. During this same period, the mystical caretakers of the Great Wood retreated from the world of Kal Maran, their disappearance an ominous harbinger of the suffering that was to follow. The Great Wood now grows out of control. Cities, towns, and villages have fallen before the relentless march of the forest.
