Charming

The story was charming even though the reader was flat and not suited to the material. The product would be much better with a new narrator that said I will try the other books even the one with the awful reader one cannot call him a narrator. The mail order bride dialogue with the right narrator would be so much soother it is hard to criticize. The story is real and sweet as is the plot short and as limited as it is in its development. Giving a view of one or two other characters in the story, such as the abuse wife for contrast or the young student daughter in the abusive family relationship would have added depth that could have add something more to this story that it doesn't have in its novella format.

Sadly abuse is still a problem today.

Loved the book! Thanks for caring about issues about abuse that still need to be addressed today.

Definitely my kind of story!

I really enjoyed this and am looking forward to starting the next books. I love when you can see true marriage struggles overcome and I feel like this definitely did that.

Exposing Abuse

This is a short sweet story about a mail order bride and her betrothed. The FMC is also the town’s new school teacher who suspects a few of her students are being abused. Her new husband doesn’t want her to get personally involved, which causes a rift between them.
The story moves at a nice pace with good secondary characters.
I didn’t care much for the narrator, although he might be good reading a different genre.

Not enough content

The story line was too simple. Nine chapters are not enough for a book. This is a short story. I was disappointed.
