Resumen del Editor

He longs for companionship. She’s pining away in Boston. Will affection make it out to the Wild West?

Ranch hand Eddie Murtaugh worries he’ll never find a wife. And with poor reading and writing skills and no proper education, he has little hope of attracting a mail-order bride. So, he’s delighted when the letter his doctor friend helps him draft earns attention from an attractive New England woman of substance.

Fiona Wilkins’ socialite lifestyle holds no interest for her. Eager to escape her overbearing parents and excited by the idea of adventure on the frontier, she secretly replies to a gentlemanly rancher’s listing. So, when she learns her father wants to auction her off to a man she loathes, she brings forward her plans and escapes in the night on a train bound for Montana.

As Eddie’s nerves flare at the thought of presenting himself to the well-to-do lady, his anxiety turns to dread when he hears Fiona’s carriage was robbed. And instead of a bold new life in the arms of a rugged cowboy, Fiona’s dreams derail when the bandits take her hostage.

Will Eddie and Fiona survive the treacherous backcountry to get love back on track?

The Lonesome Cowboy’s Abducted Bride is the third book in the delightful Montana Westward Brides historical Western romance series. If you like strong-minded women, determined ranchers, and plenty of danger, then you’ll adore Amelia Rose’s enthralling story.

Jack the Monkey

The books by this author are always great. Adding Jack the Monkey in this one was interesting but he didn't play a big part and honestly, he could have been edited out and the reader wouldn't have issued him. I wanted Jack to play an integral role somewhere.

Actually an improving writer

I have listened to the other books in this series and this is the best one yet the writing is improving the plots are still the driving force of the books and while the books would do well to have more characters fleshed out and even followed and threaded in these books for more depth they are getting better. The minor characters tend to be too simple the one strength is the Indian tracker who is humorous and sweet. The so call history part of the Western is disconcerting for example indoor plumbing and how that happened as in 1833 it was just installed in the White House and supposedly other very wealthy home it seems incongruous for a hotel and a ranch house to have a flush toliet a water closet sure, if using a sewage flue and gravity but flushing? Yes the friend is an amazing engineer but still who is going to fix it if it breaks. There is not story about the installation which would have been a BIG deal when the Telegraph was installed in 1830 and that PREDATED indoor plumbing. Maybe 1930s for the plumbing. Then there is the icebox Electricity about 1895 and that is around Niagara Falls. So a little research for simple historical facts would be nice. OH and this narrator isn't going to win an award but she is way better than the narrator for the other two books. She is much easier to listen to and improves these books.
