Publisher's summary

Consumed by failure...

Desperate to keep his kiddie pizzeria from bankruptcy, Jack lets his animatronics tech pitch him a new invention that might just give him some perspective. Frustrated by an unfair arcade game, Colton throws himself into reengineering the device at any cost.

Marley's best friend goes missing on a tour of the Freddy's Pizza Factory; she knows what really happened...but her guilt isn't the only thing threatening to eat her alive.

In this ninth volume, Five Nights at Freddy's creator Scott Cawthon spins three sinister novella-length stories from different corners of his series' canon. Listeners beware: This collection of terrifying tales is enough to unsettle even the most hardened Five Nights at Freddy's fans.

One of the best!

All three stories were entertaining and related to fnaf. The puppet carver was a perfect story. The 2nd story was also pretty good. The third one was a little confusing but still pretty good. This book is definitely an upgrade from the last book.

Amazing

This is a great book, creepy and hanging off cliffs at every turn in Scott’s signature style. I don’t recommend it if you haven’t read or listened to the previous stories, though.

I enjoyed the story

The book in general was great. I would read listen to it again in a heartbeat. But. The third story made me aggravated with the character. It made me wonder why this characters are not smart enough to go to a hospital when something is physically wrong. But then again, emotions can take over big time. It's just still aggravating.

Stomach Turning

This was the most sickening book out of all of the fright books. I loved the book anyways

Splendid!

I really enjoyed the narrator; and the stories were phenomenal. Do recommend if you like horror.

Where to Begin with This One...

To start, I must confess that I've been looking forward to this book ever since we got the titles last year. so I may have set my expectations a little higher. That said, this was the lamest, the laziest, the sorriest excuse for a horror anthology we've had all series! Where to start. .
1. The cover art has literally NOTHING to do with the first story, or the second, or the last! Seriously, there was some kind of disconnect between the artist and the writers.
2. The Puppet Carver has less to do with Puppets than it does with high cholesterol. Its clumsy, anti-climactic, and nonsensical. And that's coming from a FNAF fan.
3. Ticket Pummeler is yet another story where a teen sneaks into Freddy's, goofs with a machine, and gets stalked by an animatronic. Which isn't a bad formula, except when the teen is so insufferable you can't wait to see him die. AND THEN you're denied a gory payoff at the end. But maybe that's just me.
4. Pizza Kit was the strongest of the three, but considering the bar isn't very high, that isn't saying much. I think I would have liked this one more if they'd either A.) comitted to the gorier ending, or B.) implied that Peyton could have been hallucinating. Instead we get one hastily-established dream sequence and some weak-sauce lead-ons. The ending was interesting , if not a little abrupt.
Frankly, I know most people who love the series like I do will want to read it for the sake of completion, but don't get your hopes as high as mine had been.
