Engaging Story, Excellent Narrator

The narrator is amazing; she really brought the story to life. I listened during my commute for a few days.

The story is fast-paced, so the book never had those lull moments, and I found myself paying attention for most of the book without zoning out - which I do for some.

One thing that I noticed is that Jai's love interest didn't have much to talk about except giving her endless compliments and encouragement. Completely believable because I know a few people like that; however, give us more to love about him in the next book! Flaws are a good place to start.

Looking forward to book 2!!!

THE POWERFUL ORPHAN

Interesting and well writen story that follows a surprisingly well adjusted young girl on her quest for personal history. I also enjoyed the narrator's fresh and young voice for this character.

Great story

The story was interesting. it kept you wondering what's next. The author did an excellent job with the plot. The narrator brought the whole story to life.

A fun and magical experience

I love how the narrator brings the story to life. I enjoyed listening while on my drive to and from work. This will be an audiobook that I listen to more than once. I loved it.

Perfect Blend

What an incredible start to The Protectors Series (if it is to become a series…I sure hope so!)

The details in the descriptions really put me in each scene, and I felt like I was riding the shoulders of the characters.

Dorian (the audiobook narrator) really brought this book to life and had the perfect sound for a young witch (or whatever the heck she is!).

The only criticism I have (and I don't read this genre much, so it may be way off) is that the main character seems overpowered. However, there are some allusions that more is afoot! This may be further explored and explained as the series progresses.

Overall, Simmons has brought the world a wonderful adventure with just enough danger and reality, but not so dark to give nightmares. Well done!
