Publisher's summary

Reclusive Professor David Denlon makes a startling discovery—evidence that advanced humans inhabited the Earth a billion years ago. But wealthy, well-connected Patrick Veeder launches a plan to murder David and steal that evidence. As he struggles to stay out of Veeder's crosshairs, David learns that these highly evolved people left something behind, something they intended for us to find....

Can a misfit professor and his thrown-together team translate the instructions from our long-lost sister race before Veeder's evil plan succeeds?

Shallow

I WANTED to like it but it's shallow. At no point do you feel like any of the characters are actual people. The plot is also kind of shallow and not at all believable. My apologies to the author, but it just didn't work for me.

if you hate capitalism......

spoiler alert..... love the idea, and the narration was very good 👍... that being said, I made it to chapter 15ish...story for me was.... young mildly autistic man who happens to be brilliant and apparently hot, is raised by evil capitalist ( but loving?misguided?) parents who (trick) the poor stupid every day people in home loans.the capitalists lavish a upper middle class child hood full of specialized medicine and therapy and a 10 year education on our hero... he then gets into love and out of love because his wife didn't want to have kids with him? ( she turned into a capitalist?) spends the rest of the book( that I read) trying to figure out how to get another evil capitalist to pay for his expedition... 😆

wish I had never wasted my time!

I had zero enjoyment... not even the ending... except that it was over... the Reader was good but could not save the lackluster story.

I quit the book at the end of chapter 35

Could have been a good book but the contents at the end of chapter 35 spoiled the book how disappointing… to destroy the character of the protagonist

Awesome book!

This book really kept my attention. The storyline was creative and it wasn’t the same old sci-fi. Very unusual hero. It wasn’t what I normally expect out of a sci-fi book and that made it all the better. I liked the cast of characters and their unique mission. The book would make a great movie. I hope the author writes a sequel.
