Publisher's summary

With any great change, there is always strife, and Covenant University has become the front line between pure-bloods who want the Breed Order reinstated and the half-bloods who want the right to control their own destinies.

The violence is escalating, and war between the races seems inevitable. Hyperion may be out of commission, but Josie and Seth know that they have only earned a reprieve. Seth must get Josie fully prepared, which means controlling her newfound abilities, and they need to find the other demigods before the Titans do. But the gods are sensing a greater threat....

Only one thing is more dangerous than a bunch of starved Titans, and that's an out-of-control Apollyon. The aether in Josie is drawing Seth in deeper, and when lust mixes with love and gives way to power, he knows that being close to her is dangerous not only to her but to everyone around them.

The Power

Things are heating up for Seth and Josie in more ways than one.
They now need to find the remaining Demi-Gods and get the show on the road so to speak.
The fact that Alex and Aiden are a part of the group now isn’t awkward in the least… that was sarcasm.

But it works and the story is just getting that much more interesting. I can’t wait to find out what is going to happen. The ending was pretty intense and I want to see how Josie is going to act or what her game plan is. Book three is going to be a dozy!

The narration was perfect now that I am used to Seth’s narrator. ;)

Better

First book in the series had a lot of emotion and talked about her feelings and his not enough story for me other people might like that so remember for me it seems as if there should be story around all those feelings
Second book started off with the emotion and reminders of the first book however there was more action more storytelling and the main character Seth well one of the main characters has a quirky way of talking and actually quite humorous if you
Know how to interpret it so this one is better than the first so onto the third one and we’ll see what happens not quite where it should be mind you but it’s one of those books you can listen to while doing chores and not be afraid to miss anything but I do like the main character and his way of thinking is kinda humorous Also try and remember I’m not good at these reviews or writing. That’s why I read and not write it on an average it was a three due to the main characters thinking

The girl is a dimwit

Josie is pathetic
I'm not even sure how her character is even believable, let alone still alive. irrationally written lacking common sense for an adult. perhaps if she was 13 but not 20. Good gods.

I love this series. I always thought Seth deserved his own story. I just hope the next book comes out soon.

I liked this series before this one

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

People who loved 50 shades of gray

Any additional comments?

This one is heavy on explicit descriptions of sex and light on a story. A cheap way to write a book as it requires very little story development. This ends the series for me.

This book is not fit for the younger crowd.

50 Shades for Teens!

This book was horrible. I spent more time fast forwarding through the extremely descriptive sex scenes than enjoying the storyline. What are you actually trying to promote to your target listeners? Also, Justine Eyre should never be hired to do more than one male or female voice over. There were times when her male characters had the same voice that she used for Seth and Alex and Joe's voices were the same also....that's not confusing at all! Jennifer Armentrout...shame on you.

Holy crap balls - cliffhanger - wow - so good

I’m just going to come right out and say it...I’m totally in love with Seth *swoon*
This audiobook is fantastic. Both narrators do an amazing job shifting between characters and accents. And wow, I have come to love Seths accent. Particularly from the female narrator (she’s fantastic). I felt earlier in, probably more in the first book that the female narrators Seth accent sounded French and the male narrators Seth accent seemed to have some Slavic twangs to it. Maybe it’s because I’m an English speaking Greek woman so the Greek accent is rather ingrained in my mind. But anyway it doesn’t detract from the listening experience, in fact the accents even if not sounding authentic, actually add a really great dimension to the whole thing.
Anyway, this book was great. Maybe a little slow to start but not boring.
I just think I love anything that JLA has written. This is my third series I’ve embarked on since I fell in love with her from Blood and Ash series (which is still my fave). This series is a close second, purely because I just love Seth. And Josie is alright too.

Warning this book ends on a cliffhanger and if your a binger like I am, be prepared you may be awake at 3am starting the third book because you HAVE to know what happens next.
