Helpful book, interesting conclusion!

The book was well read and hit some relevant topics clearly in the center. I believe occasionally there were more words needed to explain but overall it was helpful. The urgency of the need for the church cannot be overrated and the experience of the author leads to credible answers. He admits that a lot is still coming at us all. The church as I’ve growing to love has changed hopefully we can please God.

Post quarantine

This is a excellent book. I believe all pastors should have their congregation read the book.

TLDR: Thom wanted to sell books

This book is premature, in the best of circumstances. One moment, Thom says the world is different post-COVID; the next, it will be years before we know the full extent. This is vacuous and helps nothing, because he can play both sides without any serious commitment. The ethics of online church streaming is not even addressed, let alone suggested as something worth discussing.

It is a collection of vague "I heard of one church" with no grounding or context stories. This is my last Thom Rainer book as a result, because anyone pushing a book on this top

The reader was great. But, this is a cash grab.

A revisiting of previous books

I'm a big Rainer fan. And thankful for a number of his books. However, this book seems to simply be revisiting previous concepts in his other books. I was mostly looking for a book to help me think innovatively about the future, but unfortunately this is looking back at what he has already written, and trying to place those concepts into a new context.

Narration

The price of the book should be cut by 1/3 because the narrator got extremely quiet towards the end of every sentence. Overall the book was good.
