Delightful

This is a destination. Transport yourself to another world. What a sheer delight! If you are looking for a book to immerse yourself into, this is a beautifully woven story that will leave you missing the characters long after you’ve put it down.

A wonderful listen

The story is heroic and full of rich characters, some you love and some you don't. The heroes are women and children. The reading of the story is superb. The readers voice is entrancing.

a hidden gem. how is it that I had never heard of these books till now.. and such a pleasure to hear the narrator perform

Very Slow Second book

I enjoyed this book but was surprised at how little actually happened. The protagonist from the first book practically disappears. Lots of new characters are introduced. I really dislike how the narrator doesn't pause when she moves between different groups. I will keep listening to Book 3 but really hope this one moves a bit faster.

A Great Discovery

I was so glad to find this series. On par with my other favorite Australian fantasy author, Garth Nix. For serious high fantasy readers who like a plot with meat on it’s bones.
