The Plumber: A Steve Jobz Thriller was the fiftieth book that I’ve read or listened to by Vincent Zandri. In this case I listened to the audiobook narrated with Daniel Dorse. I’ve had the pleasure of listening to Daniel Dorse narrate several of Mr. Zandir’s other books and stories. His voice and delivery always draw me into the story just as much as the prose. In the case of this book, it was my first Steve Jobz thriller like a duck I’ve imprinted on Daniel’s voice as the voice of this series.

Having read all the Dick Moonlight and Keeper Marconi stories, I was familiar with where I thought the Steve Jobz PI stores might go. But this is a case of being right and wrong. Happily, wrong in this case, I immediately found an affection for Steve and Henry. Detective Miller was a familiar old friend from so many of Vin’s PI stores.

The action in this story wasn’t a lot of shooting, it was more the calculated scheming of a killer with a plan and the means to pull off the plan. Along with straight forward incidents, there are enough unplanned events to make the story worthy of a seat belt or turbulence warning.

very entertaining

An entertaining story with several humorous moments. Steve Jobz is a likeable main character with a few questionable traits but works hard. He is hired to assist the Albany PD with a couple of horrific murder cases. I listened to the audible version and enjoyed the narrator.
