Publisher's Summary

Award-winning authors Tracie Peterson and Judith Miller set this compelling novel in 1857 America. As Jasmine and her husband thank God for delivering their daughter from certain death, tragic news arrives. Yellow fever has decimated Jasmine's Mississippi family. And now the Houstons must leave their Massachusetts horse farm to face the challenges of Willows Plantation. But soon their desire to free the plantation's slaves kindles a strife that threatens both their resolve and their safety.

Storyline Excellent, Reader too slow

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The editing of the narration was poor. Pauses in narration were in very weird places.

Any additional comments?

Don't let the narration keep you from listening to this book. The storyline is good.
