Acerca de esta escucha
After her father's death, Lizzy Brookstone, the star trick rider of the all-female Brookstone Wild West Extravaganza, loses interest in performing. What she longs for is a life with the Brookstone ranch foreman, Wesley DeShazer, the man who once broke her heart. Meanwhile, Jason Adler, son of the show's new financial partner, comes to help with the show, and Lizzy soon finds him vying for her affection.
Ella Fleming is fleeing a forced engagement when she stows away on the Brookstone train. Lizzy finds her and gives her a job in the costume department, but Ella has a dangerous secret that could affect all of their lives, as well as the future of the Brookstone Extravaganza.
When Mary Reichert, a former sharpshooter for the show, learns that her brother, August, has been killed at the Fleming farm, she refuses to believe it was an accident. She returns to the show to find the truth, but is she seeking justice or vengeance?
As the three women work together to discover how August died, Lizzy strives to hold the show together. Can she keep the Brookstone Extravaganza alive without losing the desire of her heart?

Christian Historical Romance
The whole premise of this story, a Wild West Show with all women performers, is so exciting! But, add in all the conflicts, a runaway, a besotted, but unwanted admirer, the death of the lead wrangler, and the whole crew reeling with the natural death of one of the two founders of the show, and you have a story that definitely keeps you on your toes! My favorite part, though, is that the main characters are Christian, and most of the others are either grappling with their faith or coming into faith for the first time. The narration is absolutely perfect!

Wonderful but too drawn out.
Never having read this author before was pleasantly surprised at the religious theme running through. The story was mesmerizing to me and kept my attention to the end. A lot of valuable advice gleaned from the writing, just disappointed that it seemed to drag on to the inevitable conclusion.

The Godly truths
I enjoyed the ease of the story. There were ups and downs throughout, but it was very nice listening. With the honesty of life and God within it. That we need to trust in Him over all. Nope depend on ourselves. Thank you.

Tracie Peterson delivers again
Another wholesome Christian fiction romance story by Tracie Peterson. I appreciate that she infuses a few biblical verses and beliefs throughout the story which makes it much more realistic and relatable to me. He characters are always fun and I love how she ties in characters from her other novels. Always a good read and the narration was well done too. Can’t wait to “read” the next book in this series. I’m betting the sharpshooter and the English gentleman fall for one another. Just a hunch. I’d also be surprised if the drama with the Fleming farm doesn’t continue on to the next books. I look forward to seeing how it all concludes.

Had a hard time with this story
It was strange that I kept loosing interest in the story as it went along. I am not sure if it was the subject matter, the narration or what. The emotional atmosphere gave me an underlying anxiety until the end. This is not how I have felt about other books she has written. Maybe it's just me?

When You Are Near
I had difficulty following this one. Had to go back and forth several times. Turned out to be very religious especially nearer the latter part. I did finish and all the pieces did get pulled together for a sweep ending.
